ESG Reporting: The Evolution and Impacts of the SEC and UK Taxonomy Regulations

October 6, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

In recent years, ESG reporting has progressed from being a nice-to-have to being a regulatory must for some industries. In the US, recent proposals from the SEC have risen it up the corporate agenda, while in the UK, the taxonomy regulation sets out specific economic activities that must be met to be considered environmentally sustainable. Meanwhile, voluntary ESG assessment and reporting continues to become ever more sophisticated.

In this session, our expert panel will discuss how ESG reporting has evolved in recent years, what is driving that evolution, how the market is tackling it, and whether this activity is actually having an impact on the wider ESG agenda.

BAB’s Corporate Citizenship & Sustainability Series is a bespoke series of roundtables and business briefings covering critical Environmental, Societal and Governance (ESG) issues in business and private sector-led initiatives in support of COP, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This series provides a platform to stimulate debate and conversation amongst business leaders, relevant policy makers and stakeholders to advance the guiding principles of  COP26 for the U.S.-UK transatlantic corridor.
