The Quest For Perfect Data is a Fool’s Errand

Organizations are not getting more efficient despite gathering more and more data.
BABC Texas members Garner and BJSS believe there are two core reasons why efficiency is not improving.
1. The misguided myth that only perfect data will reveal the truth. Businesses are searching under couch cushions for every byte of data, polishing red herrings and expecting to catch white whales.
2. The mischaracterization of organizations as machines. In reality, every business unit operates as a human community.
