January 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
ESG considerations have undergone a rapid evolution in recent years, transforming from a marginal concern into a vogue corporate topic and, more recently, a contentious environment where ESG advocates find themselves in contrast to a considerable anti-ESG movement. All the while, ESG regulation and corporate approaches have tried to keep in step.
As the politics and polarization of views around ESG have intensified, we’ve seen practical impacts in the USA in particular. Notably, ten states have adopted anti-ESG regulations. On both sides of the Atlantic, companies have faced high profile challenges stemming from either misguided marketing efforts or discrimination against customers with political views that go against their ‘values’.

Key questions include: How can they align with regulatory requirements while avoiding missteps with customers? What new requirements are anticipated, and how can they be incorporated into current corporate values? In what ways can an organization future-proof its ESG strategy? How can the often competing interests of regulators, consumers and politicians best be navigated?
