Navigating Global Disruption: A Transatlantic Perspective on Geopolitics and Growth
September 15 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm EST
Join BAB for an executive roundtable featuring The Honorable Jennifer Gavito, Senior Advisor at The Cohen Group and a distinguished former U.S. diplomat with more than 25 years of experience shaping U.S. foreign policy. Most recently, she served as Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs. Earlier in her career, she was Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in London and U.S. Consul General in Munich. She was also nominated by President Biden to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Libya.
As the war in Ukraine, conflict in the Middle East, and rising geopolitical competition continue to reshape the global economy, Ms. Gavito will share insights into the political, security, and economic forces creating risks and opportunities for businesses worldwide. Drawing on her experience across the Middle East, Europe, and Washington, she will discuss how these developments are influencing trade, investment, supply chains, and corporate strategy.
The roundtable will build on key findings from DLA Piper’s Financial Futures: Leading Through Disruption report, based on a survey of nearly 800 global business leaders. The report highlights accelerating AI adoption, evolving compliance and regulatory requirements, and the challenge of navigating geopolitical uncertainty and trade disruptions. For financial institutions and companies across other highly regulated sectors, these trends are redefining how organizations assess risk, build resilience, and identify opportunities for growth in an increasingly complex global environment.
Date: Tuesday, September 15th Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm EDT Location: DLA Piper, 1251 6th Ave, NYC
