SUMMARY:Unveiling the Power of Age Diversity in the Workplace for Inclusive Excellence
DESCRIPTION:With five generations in the workplace for the first time in history\, companies are starting to consider age within their Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion reporting.  However\, the 2022 EY US Generation Survey reveals that 1 in 5 workers have witnessed or experienced age-based discrimination but the benefits of tapping into intergenerational strengths\, including unique backgrounds and perspectives\, can enable businesses to future-proof their workforce. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: Thursday\, February 29th\nTime: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm EST\nLocation: Littler Mendelson P.C.\, NYC \n\n\n\n\nRSVP HERE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSimilar to how women have transformed the narrative around gender equality and pay gap\, there is an opportunity for the older workforce to lead a movement for longevity and generational collaboration. Can “Gen X” and “Baby Boomers” reshape the narrative by encouraging and investing in reskilling\, entrepreneurship\, and reverse mentorship; thereby creating positive role models for future generations? After all\, everyone will move into this generation of life. \nWe invite you to join BAB for this important conversation aimed at challenging and changing the mindset surrounding age disparities in the workplace. Our expert panel will explore the profound impact of generational differences\, discussing how companies can leverage age diversity to enhance corporate resilience\, actively support workplace equity\, and ultimately improve employee retention. \nThe discussion will cover: \n\nHow the presence of five generations in the workplace shapes corporate culture and the challenges and opportunities it presents.\nStrategies for training and development that challenge generational stereotypes and combine complimentary skillsets\, fostering truly age-inclusive workplaces and addressing bias and discrimination issues.\nBest practices for tailoring employee benefits to different life stages and understanding the human experience through a generational lens.\nDeveloping innovative approaches to accommodate a productive and engaged seasoned workforce\, harnessing their experience\, and fostering meaningful mentorship programs in both directions.\n\n\n\n\n\n“The Stir” is BritishAmerican Business’ inclusion & diversity initiative. Launched in 2011\, this critical program series has grown and evolved in response to the changing needs within the transatlantic business community. In short\, we are creating a stir: an open\, honest conversation on how diversity & inclusion are not just good for business\, but vital. \nTogether with our partners\, BAB continues to remain vigilant in addressing this issues via a series of content-rich and community-building programs featuring the latest research\, best practices\, and real-world examples to make our case.

SUMMARY:The Future of ESG: How the Corporate Approach is Evolving
DESCRIPTION:ESG considerations have undergone a rapid evolution in recent years\, transforming from a marginal concern into a vogue corporate topic and\, more recently\, a contentious environment where ESG advocates find themselves in contrast to a considerable anti-ESG movement. All the while\, ESG regulation and corporate approaches have tried to keep in step. \nAs the politics and polarization of views around ESG have intensified\, we’ve seen practical impacts in the USA in particular. Notably\, ten states have adopted anti-ESG regulations. On both sides of the Atlantic\, companies have faced high profile challenges stemming from either misguided marketing efforts or discrimination against  customers with political views that go against their ‘values’. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: Wednesday\, January 24th\nTime: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EST\n4:00 pm – 5:00 pm GMT \nPlatform: Zoom \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this context\, we bring together a panel to lead a discussion on how organizations can navigate this evolving ESG landscape. Key questions include: How can they align with regulatory requirements while avoiding missteps with customers? What new requirements are anticipated\, and how can they be incorporated into current corporate values? In what ways can an organization future-proof its ESG strategy? How can the often competing interests of regulators\, consumers and politicians best be navigated? \nBAB’s Corporate Citizenship & Sustainability Series is a bespoke series of roundtables and business briefings covering critical Environmental\, Societal and Governance (ESG) issues in business and private sector-led initiatives in support of COP\, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This series provides a platform to stimulate debate and conversation amongst business leaders\, relevant policy makers and stakeholders to advance the guiding principles of  COP26 for the U.S.-UK transatlantic corridor.
