The BritishAmerican Business Network, the umbrella body of British American business chambers across the US and UK, has elected Tamra Eker, Managing Director BritishAmerican Business (BAB), as its next President. Former President, Stuart Bagshaw has been appointed Chairman and former Chair, Bruce Lowe has been made Chairman Emeritus.
Commenting on the election, Duncan Edwards, CEO of BAB, said:
“Having all of the local chapters together under this single umbrella brand has been great, particularly over the especially challenging past 15 months, during which all the chapters have been working closely together in our mission to promote transatlantic trade and investment. I am really pleased for the organization that Tamra will take up the role of President as she has been so closely involved with it for a long time and no one knows better how to make it work for the benefit of all the members.”
Stuart Bagshaw, the outgoing President for the past three years, said:
“I am delighted that the BritishAmerican Business Network board of directors voted unanimously to elect Tamra as our new President. I know that she will continue to strengthen the ties between all our chapter members and bring fresh new leadership to the organization to help the BritishAmerican Business Network to become the strongest and most influential transatlantic business network we have seen.”
Tamra Eker added:
“I have been working with the BritishAmerican Business Network chapters for nearly 15 years and am thrilled to be voted in as President. We have shown over the last year the benefits of working together as a network and BAB will continue to share its knowledge, expertise and access to all BritishAmerican Business Network chapter members. This is the most important economic corridor in the world and there is a lot more we can do together, especially in trade promotion, going both ways across the Atlantic.”
